Medieval Festivals - our stall at Winterfest & sad news about Blacktown
Photos of our stall at the recent Winterfest Medieval Festival at the Hawkesbury Showgrounds in Sydney on Sat 2nd July. Sorry these are so dark, the light was lowish due to the rain.
You can't really see the rain but it was a very wet weekend! We were super impressed with the turn out of brave and highly costumed people and performers determined to make the most of it...the atmosphere was brilliant.
Photo of Nicole Kirkwood who camped with one of the roman legions at the festival site. Rain, hail or shine Nic. is always there to help lace people into corsets.
Our stall was super busy throughout Saturday except for this period where we were able to get some stall and team photos.
Unfortunately due to the severe flood warnings for the area the Sunday festival day had to be cancelled.
This photo is of three of our legendary team, Nicole, Charlie and Annette.
5-8-22 UPDATE: Unfortunately due to the heavy rains in Sydney the Blacktown Council has cancelled the Blacktown City Medieval Fayre where our next stall was going to be - there is still too much standing water on the ground of the festival site :( We are obviously disappointed but are now looking at organising a corset focused pop up in a couple of locations instead.
Blacktown Medieval Fayre is one of the largest on the medieval festival calendar. Here's the link to their site: Blacktown Medieval Fayre
Hope to see you there at our collab. stall with Vic & Steam & Gallery Serpentine. We'll of course have loads of corsets, the men's cloaks and jackets, bustle skirts, full corset gowns, Alice in Wonderland, Potter & Whovian jewellery and accessories (and if room a super snazzy sale rack full of lovelies).
