Steph has been here from the beginning in 1997 when her sister first opened Gallery Serpentine's doors on the 'gothic mile' of Enmore Road, Newtown, Sydney. What began as a small gothic boutique grew into an internationally recognised alternative fashion destination — shipping handmade corsets and gothic clothing to clients across Australia, the UK, Europe, and the United States.
Every order that passes through Gallery Serpentine is personally reviewed by Steph. She checks measurements before production begins, confirms sizing before dispatch, and follows up when something doesn't feel right. That personal corsetiere relationship is the reason clients return — some for over a decade.

With the recent set up of 'Steph's Lab' in the old Melbourne garment district of Collingwood, Gallery Serpentine as an atelier is reawakening with new designs, experiments, and magical collaborations unfolding behind the seams. What you see here on the site today is only the beginning of the next chapter. Our legacy corsets and gothic corset gowns remain at the heart of the label, even as we begin weaving new collections of embroidered enchantment, archetypal gowns, and alchemical cloakage.
