Gallery Serpentine gets out and about
5th November, 2017
It's been a busy October...here's where we've been and what we've been up to..
Goulburn Steampunk & Victoriana Fair, Goulburn Historic Waterworks - Goulburn - 14th October
Corset Education Pop-up - Goulburn - 15th October
We had a grand position in the old cafe building by the river. Our mini shop was full of our new creations and designs - with a heavy emphasis on our specialty - corsets.
It was so rewarding to have people love our new cloaks and bustles as well - we pushed ourselves to get those made before the event.
Here's images of our mini shop so you know what to look out for next year!
Our mini shop display
We always aim to bring a lot of cute and steampunk themed products to our stalls.
Let's Get Waisted!
It was a lot of fun introducing people to the world of quality tight-lacing corsetry.
Steampunk Accessories & Things for Guys!
Lots of goggles, belts, hats, silver top canes, steampunk arm bands & aviator caps.
Quite a few of our customers visited us at Goulburn wearing their GS clothing
One of the special guests at the Fair was Lord Darius Foxworth.
He is kept very busy with special events around NSW and the country.
Next time you see him he may be wearing a couple of new items that we're making for him now that will allow his incredible costume to really shine and give that bushy tail room to really move!
Our photographer Nancy Trieu met celebrity Tara Moss and as they both had mechanical wind up keys in their backs they had some fun being automatons.
These keys have a hidden battery pack so as you walk along the key turns and makes a superb clicking turning noise.
Designed by a clever NSW engineer, Paul, we're really proud to be the Sydney stockist for these keys.
If you have a corset you can easily slide the key's foundation behind your corset lacing and tuck the battery pack under your corset or hold it in your hand.
Ani (on the left) is getting married in November and is wearing her gold Queen of Hearts key as part of the bridal ensemble that we made her.
Her wedding theme is inspired by Tim Burton, Alice in Wonderland and steampunk so the key is perfect as a feature of her gown.
The Huntress Headdress was very popular at our mini shop at the Fair - not sure why but possibly because people could see how good it looked on Nancy who helped us out on our stall :)
We've sold a lot of these for both steampunk and gothic themed events and even weddings, super fun to wear.
We were Guest Judges for Lithgow Halloween - 28th October
We were honoured to be asked to pre-select the best costumes at the massive Lithgow Halloween event this year!
If you haven't heard about it, it's a crazy, family friendly event where the whole town of Lithgow gets into the Halloween spirit - the main street is closed off to traffic and is an endless parade of people in Halloween costume, stalls and activities.
We were really busy choosing best costumes and didn't stop to get a lot of photos of the event but here's some that will give you an idea of what an immense event this is.
Meet Your Judges!
Great shot by photographer Shaz of Shan & 'Dead Girl' Nicole

Tara Moss and Dead Girl
We're glad Tara didn't pour that acid on Dead Girl's head, that would have made our next day at Back to Hartley very difficult!
Fantastic photos by Robert Muzzy Musgrave show you some of the amazing costumes we had to choose from
Gallery Serpentine Fashion Show & Stall at 'Back to Hartley' - Oct. 29th
We were invited by the organiser of Back to Hartley to put on a fashion show of our steampunk and victorian bridal designs and have a stall at the festival.
Our fashion show was a collaboration with Christine's Millinery and MisSmAsh Jewellery in a beautiful historic listed church as part of the Back to Hartley festival.
This showcased our first victorian-steampunk collection for 2017 worn by young models from the greater blue mountains area.
Here's some images from the festival and our stall plus a cute video of our lovely fashion show usher, Raine who showed us what you can do as a tribal fusion belly dancer in one of our corsets!
Raine helped us out at the fashion show for Back to Hartley as an usher and then fell in love with the Underbust Victorian corset she wore which is one of our tight lacing designs.
As she's a tribal bellydancer she wanted to test out using the corset as part of a costume, here she is giving an impromptu demo outside our stall at Back to Hartley festival.

In the next blog we'll show you an intimate behind the scenes and fashion show video that features close ups of the exquisite jewellery and millinery worn with our designs.
