Gallery Serpentine at the Blacktown City Medieval Fayre 2026

We’re heading west. Next weekend, Gallery Serpentine takes its atelier on the road and joins our sister business, Victorian & Steampunk at the Blacktown City Medieval Fayre for a milestone celebration: fifty years of one of Australia’s longest-running medieval festivals.

When and where

Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 May 2026
Nurragingy Reserve, Knox Rd, Doonside NSW 2767

Half a century of the realm

The Blacktown City Medieval Fayre is a Sydney institution. For five decades it has gathered jousters, falconers, blacksmiths, leatherworkers, musicians and merchants into a single weekend of pageantry — a rare chance to step out of the modern world and into something older and louder. Reaching fifty years is no small feat for a community festival, and the 2026 edition is set to mark the milestone with the spectacle it deserves.

Find the Victorian and Steampunk / Gallery Serpentine stall

We’ll be set up among the merchants both days with a curated selection of our atelier work. Expect:

  • Corsetry — signature underbust and overbust styles in cottons, brocades and velvets, constructed with flat-and-spiral steel boning, waist tape and modesty panels. Many pieces will be available to try on at the stall.
  • Womenswear — Victorian bustle skirts, gothic corset gowns, cloaks and shrugs from across the current range.
  • The Modern Arcana — our menswear collection, made for the man who treats a jacket as a statement of character. Velvet, brocade, sculptural tailoring. Browse the line ahead of the day at The Modern Arcana.

Fittings, advice, and bespoke commissions on the day

This is one of the few moments in the year when the full breadth of the work sits in one place, in daylight, on real bodies — and where you can speak directly with the makers. On both days at the stall we will be offering:

  • Corset fittings — try on signature styles, find your true size, and feel for yourself how a steel-boned corset is meant to sit.
  • Personalised styling advice — bring your questions about pairings, layering, occasion dressing, or how a piece will work with the wardrobe you already have.
  • Custom orders and commissions — discuss bespoke pieces directly with us. Bring inspiration, references, fabric ideas, or a measurement you have already taken; we will walk you through what is possible and how to commission it.

If you have been considering a made-to-measure corset, a Modern Arcana jacket cut to your frame, or a one-off gown for an upcoming occasion, this is the most efficient way to begin — measurements, fabric conversations, and lead times can all be settled in person at the fayre.

Come and find us

Whether you are a longtime client adding a piece to your wardrobe, a first-timer curious about how a steel-boned corset actually feels, or simply there to enjoy the spectacle of fifty years of medieval revelry — come and find us. We’ll be looking out for you.
